From the BBC, we discover that around a million people have had to entertain themselves after a fire at the local TV transmitter caused idiot lanterns all over the county to fall silent :

About 400,000 homes have been left without television reception after an “intense fire” at the Beckley transmitter in Oxfordshire.

Firefighters said part of the structure was in danger of collapse following the blaze, which started at about 1400 BST.

Cable and satellite services and Five’s analogue signal are not affected.

How they will cope is anyone’s guess.

Expect NHS outreach workers and trauma counselors to flood the county to save these poor unfortunates from their own thoughts.
