Far from the usual mid-life crisis affair where the older guy shacks up with a young blonde and blows his savings on a fast car :

Authorities in Sarasota arrested a 69-year-old man today, accusing him of embezzling $600,000 from a 97-year-old woman and using part of the money to buy himself a 2007 Lamborghini worth nearly $200,000.

Charged with exploitation of the elderly was Joseph Cirillo, 17 Fairway Drive, Englewood.

Sarasota County sheriff’s deputies said they got a complaint that Cirillo was using money that belonged to Depaulis “Anita” Seidel.

Deputies said that since March, Cirillo moved nearly $600,000 from Seidel’s financial accounts to his personal accounts. The Lamborghini was purchased in July, deputies said, after Cirillo plunked down two checks totaling $181,229 drawn on accounts to which the victim’s money was transferred.

They could at least have allowed him to keep his teeth in for the mugshot.
