One particularly impressive moment in the video is when Germany becomes a unified country rather than a myriad small states and then suddenly explodes to colour the whole map as WWII takes off. Also notable is the growth of Russia as well as the incursions into Northern Europe by Denmark and Sweden and the size of the Polish/Lithuanian empire.
