If things are not going your way it could always be worse – like being scalped by a leopard …

Full of positive spirit (and a few gallons of the alcoholic kind) after my holidays, always look on the bright side as it could always be a lot worse, as this indian guy (via Pravda) discovered when he went leopard fighting :

Among the four other people attacked was the man in the photos, Kripesh Dey, who was scalped. The man is now OK but he had the fright of his life and was jolly cheesed off. The local authorities have confirmed that the leopard will be taken to the Manas wildlife sanctuary 200 kilometres from the city, where it will be released to live in the wild.

I am left wondering if Bobby Charlton ever met a leopard?

Just what possesses these people to think that the best course of action, when confronted by a scared and angry big cat, is to throw poles and stones at it?! Maybe the authorities need to consider tranquillising the people, not the animal?

JuliaM – I am sure they are already considering tranqulising the population πŸ˜› Seriously though, it always amazes me why they decide to do exactly as you describe and then be surprised when someone gets ripped to shreds.

For years I’ve being saying that the bald spot on my crown is just the way that my hair parts.

It would’ve been far more macho to stick an angry big cat in that story somewhere, though…

Rob – damned good idea although personally I would have to come up with a damned convincing tale of being mauled by a whole pride of lions πŸ™‚
